Here I’m wearing leather corsets. Leather is an excellent material for corsets because it’s robust and stiff. Therefore it’s especially important to have a made-to-measure corset, otherwise you probably won’t be happy with it. Leather, however, does not breathe as well as cotton or satin; therefore it may not be as comfortable to wear in hot weather.
At first sight, leather corsets don’t match with my general attitude, since they can be found in the context of fetish clothing. But I think that the point is not only the material, but also the cut and the rest of the outfit.
The first leather corset shown here was made by Albert (albertcst@hotmail.com) and lent to me. It was not especially designed or made for me but nevertheless it fitted very well. You can see more corsets from Albert here.
Albert had started to make a seconds corset for me. It has a waistline of 18 inch; measured around the outside. The following photos were taken during the first fitting. The corset was not finished then, several details have to be adapted. It has a special, very stiff front to keep the stomach flat. In spite of this the corset is comfortable and I was able to wear it 12 hours (during the night) and at another time three days without break. The complete rigidity of the new corset supports my back, which is another great advantage. This corset was also worn by Lacie.
Leather corset 19 inch tightlaced to wasp waist (front)
This corset’s waistline is 19 inch - not very tight. It’s fine as a normal corset, but can also be worn as a corsage on top of a dress; especially appropriate for wide skirts.

If you wear a corset ‘on the outside’, there are no layers of cloth that add to your waistline, so that you have an incredible silhouette even with moderate lacing. This can give a boost to you, especially if you’re a corset beginner.

A rather tight but nevertheless comfortable corset. It is made of soft leather and is fitted to the body like a second skin. I know that the mask is terrible, so please don’t write e-mail to tell me so ;-)

The integral bra is one of the highlights of this corset, it makes it possible to wear off-the-shoulder dresses without any problems. The photo shows some details of the excellent technique of the corsetier. The bra is still a bit too voluminous, this will be fixed.

The corset is to generate a smooth line rather than an abrupt cut in the height of the waist. Even this ‘not yet perfect’ version of the corset achieves this very well.
Leather corset 18 inch tightlaced to wasp waist bending
When bending, the strain on the lacing increases, so that it opens a little bit. The stiff front keeps the torso upright.
Leather corset 18 inch tightlaced to wasp waist lying on bed
When lying down the body remains straight because of the stiffness of the corset. This makes lying down more comfortable.
Leather corset 18 inch tightlaced to wasp waist with dress and 17 inch belt (left)
Here, I’m wearing the leather corset, laced to about 18 inches (measured on top of the corset) under a flowered dress. Then there is a black lacing leather belt - waistline: 17 inches - which makes the dress fit neatly in the waist region. This makes the waist even smaller. The push up effect of the corset is clearly visible.
