Altered satin corset from Vollers tight laced to 19 inch

This is my very first corset. It is from the Vollers company in England. It is not custom made. The waist size ordered was 19 inches. But when I laced it up for the first time, it went on easily and the waist size measured over the corset was 21 inches. I was disappointed. However, the make of the corset was nice and sturdy.

Therefore, I decided to sew the corset off. And that actually worked out. With these modifications, I was then able to cinch my waist down to 19 inches. The corset is not very high, so on the one hand it is comfortable in terms of breathing, but on the other hand it presses quite a bit against the lower ribs. My following corsets should then go up higher, as you will see in the other posts :-).

Because I altered the corset myself, it is not so perfect as the corsets from TGC, but nevertheless it produces a neat waist.

The waist is clearly cut in. Since the corset is not very high, especially the lower ribs are formed. Very rarely it can happen that during bending movements the chest slips a little out of the corset at the top, which is unpleasant. As you can see, I did not yet use a lacing flap at that time.
